Frequency ordering for bot_words.txt is an adaptation of data distributed with wordfreq. The list is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.

Credit: wordfreq, Copyright 2022 Robyn Speer. The included frequency data draws on Google Books Ngrams, Leeds Internet Corpus, Wikipedia, ParaCrawl, OPUS OpenSubtitles, SUBTLEX, and other sources documented by the project. OpenSubtitles is credited as the source of its subtitle data. The SUBTLEX lists were created by Marc Brysbaert and collaborators and remain freely available data.

The practice bot list retains wordfreq ordering, intersects it with the ESDB core and the bundled main dictionary, applies project blocklists, and adds eligible short words. The wordfreq package was used only as a build-time generator and is not included as a runtime dependency.
